We had an excellent experience at Il bracco. The atmosphere was warm yet trendy and perfect for a date night. Our server was very friendly. The food did not disappoint. You have to get the meatballs as an appetizer. They are well made and the foccacia bread was incredible. We then thoroughly enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan and vodka sauce pasta. I would for sure come back here.
Had a really nice evening at il Bracco. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy and they even bring you a blanket if you get chilly. What a pleasant surprise. The food was amazing, had the special of scallops. But the star was the ice-cream with olive oil. The most unexpectedly delicious combo!!
Great service but that’s it. We had the focaccia which was pretty good. The chicken picatta was supposed to have crunchy chicken but it had a regular chicken breast. The spicy gemeli wasn’t spicy at all and was dry - it needed another scoop of sauce. The Cacio e Pepe was too Al dente and dry. We told the waiter and ordered another but the server grabbed another one Al dente. We were at least comped for that entree and offered some free dessert but we declined. Won’t be back
Il Bracco is a great mid scale Italian eatery off on the edge of Uptown and Galleria.
Classic Italian dishes are represented and done wonderfully. The service was great (early on a Sunday during lunch) and the atmosphere is classy and comfortable.
The only thing holding it back from full stars is the price. $16 cocktails with three ingredients is a bit steep, and the food prices should be lower or the portions larger.
I would definitely recommend il Bracco, especially for a meal before a night out. It’s satisfying but not heavy.
The food at this establishment is undeniably of high quality, and the service is exceptional. However, we found the seasoning to be quite heavy for our family's taste. The pastas, in particular, were noticeably salty and had a strong black pepper flavor. While this might appeal to some palates, if you prefer lighter seasoning, it's something to be mindful of. On a positive note, the spicy Gemili dish was outstanding and a definite highlight.
Great experience and the food was pretty good. We had the Sea Bass, crispy artichokes, tortellini and meatballs. Everything was prepared well and flavorful. Our server Blythe was amazing and all the staff was very attentive. We went on a Thursday and it was still pretty loud. So if you are looking for a quiet romantic environment this is not it. There were a couple groups of people that were pretty drunk and loud. But it was still a fun night. The decor is mid century modern with a cool kitchy vibe. It has muted color tones, plenty of teak wood and interesting light fixtures that look like a 60s or 70s throwback. Parking can be a bit hard to find because it gets busy and there was no valet. The parking is very well lit though and the area is fairly safe. Lastly, get the cheesecake. They make it in house and it has a really nice crust and an over all fresh flavor with hints of lemon.
Overall it was a good experience! Our server was nice and polite!
I am definitely going back to try new flavors!
It has a great location in Post Oak, the parking lot is quite big.
The atmosphere is super chic, it has a really beautiful patio, it would be ideal but it's very hot right now. Good decoration and distribution, maybe a bit dark.
We tried the Steak Tartare (very good), Cesar Salad (normal) and the Meatballs (the best of the night).
We also tried Cacio E Pepe (regular) Al Limone (delicious you must try it) and the Pesto Pasta (the pesto was good but the pasta needs something to elevate the dish)
It has a nice bar, we tried The Bracco Cocktail, it's refreshing.
It is a good place for a drink, a date or any special occasion.
The super friendly staff, from the Host, the servers and all the helpers. I really loved how attentive everyone was.
